What Are People Saying About SunExpress?
SunExpress is jointly owned by Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, flying to over 100 destinations from its Antalya and Izmir hubs. The cabin crew consistently earns praise — helpful, friendly, and professional. The airline carried over 1.6 million UK passengers in 2025, a 21% increase from the previous year.
It operates an unbundled fare model where the base price includes only the seat and a small personal item. Extra charges for luggage, seat selection, and meals add up, and passengers report being charged €80 for minor overweight bags. Customer service after disruptions gets low marks and lost luggage resolution is slow. Know your fare rules and you'll get solid value.
